AMD Radeon HD 6000 and HD 5000 relegated to ‘legacy support’
TechPowerUP reports that AMD has finally decided to put the end to pre-GCN graphics driver support. Of course those drivers may still get new updates when serious bus are discovered, but the focus is no longer on them. According to AMD those cards reached its peak performance on November 24, 2015, so new driver releases will not improve performance.
Radeon HD 7000, HD 8000 (OEM), Radeon 200 and now 300, will not be supported with new Crimson drivers. The last Catalyst release with HD 6000 and HD 5000 support is located here.
