Dell announces UP3017Q 30in OLED 4k monitor with 0.1 ms response time
We are seeing a slow progress in TN-panel replacement with newer IPS technology. However even newer technology will soon start competing in this segment as well.
Dell is the first company to announce mass production of 30 inch OLED monitor. The selling point is ultra high contrast of 400,000:1 with almost pure black colors, USB Type-C port, OLED technology and the absolute star of the show — 0.1 response time.
The new monitor uses 4K panel with anti-ghosting and burn-in technology. This is the perfect monitor for video producers, graphics designers or of course gamers.
The only downside is the price. Dell asks 5000 USD for this panel. The monitor will start shipping in March.
