Strat — also known as Strategosan — has posted some interesting Global 3DMark05 scores.

With a combination of hardware and OS that you don’t normally see at this level, he beat previous WR holder Dancop. Strat achieved 79,960 marks, a new WR mixing an i7 6700K @ 6400MHz with LN2, Kingston HyperX DDR4 RAM, two LN2-cooled Matrix GTX 980’s in SLI @ 2.33% over stock (1430MHz/1800MHz) to narrow the gap over Dancop’s slightly higher CPU clocks. All while running the 11-year-old 3DMark05 benchmark on Windows 8.1.

Dancop, now in 3rd place, scored 78,917 marks using a Skylake i7 6700K @ 6533.11MHz with LN2, LN2-cooled GTX 980 Ti STRIX @ stock (1076MHz/1753MHz), and a Maximus VIII Extreme.

8Pack — UK’s Ian Parry — is ranked second, some 944 points being Strat and just 99 points ahead of Dancop on 79016 marks. 8Pack’s setup, also using Windows 8.1, comprised of an i7 6700K @ 6,400MHz with LN2, Kingston HyperX DDR4 RAM, a GTX 980 Ti Lightning (1575MHz/2038MHz) also LN2 with a ASRock Z170 OC Formula.
